LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Kentucky Derby will take place on Saturday, and betting is already heating up as online gambling sites have released early odds.

Forte, the favorite, has raced seven races in his career, winning six.
His 2022 was 12th in terms of earnings since 2000, and he won the Juvenile Breeders Cup in that year.
Tapit Trice, on the other hand, had a fairly mediocre 2022 for a horse that’s expected to be among the favorites, finishing third in his first race at Aqueduct in November.
Since then, a string of four consecutive first place finishes has established this horse as a dominant contender for the Kentucky Derby.
