PFL Playoffs: Women’s Lightweight/Men’s Heavyweight Odds

  • Kayla Harrison is -3300 on the moneyline against Genah Fabian.
  • Jamelle Jones is a +165 betting underdog against Bruno Cappelozza.
  • Taylor Guardado has -150 odds to beat Mariana Morris.
  • Denis Goltsov is a moderate -325 favorite over Ante Delija.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - The second week of the PFL playoffs will contain the Semifinals in the Women’s Lightweight and Men’s Heavyweight divisions. Possibly the league’s biggest star, Kayla Harrison, will headline the night of fights.

Kayla Harrison Vs Genah Fabian Odds

Kayla Harrison is a two-time Olympic gold medalist in Judo and has continued her dominance with her transition into the MMA. She holds an undefeated 10-0 record with six first-round finishes. As she is set to face Genah Fabian in the Women’s Lightweight Semifinals, online gambling sites have her listed as a massive favorite.

Harrison vs Fabian Moneyline Odds

  • Kayla Harrison -3300
  • Genah Fabian +1200

Harrison has done nothing in her career to suggest that she is going to lose and while it may happen at some point, Thursday is likely not the day. Fabian is a kickboxer which may turn out to be a good stylistic matchup if Harrison wasn’t so good at getting her fights to the ground.

Harrison has -1400 odds to finish the fight inside the distance, but there is real value on the specific method of victory. She has -105 odds to win by knockout and -105 odds to win by submission.

She has done each of these four times in her career and considering she’s fighting a kickboxer, a submission bet may be the way to go.

Bruno Cappelozza vs Jamelle Jones Odds

Those looking to cash in on an underdog may be inclined to side with Jamelle Jones over Bruno Cappelozza. Jones' last two losses have both come from fighters that are now competing in the UFC; Mike Rodriguez and William Knight.

He has three straight first-round finishes. However, sports betting sites have him as an underdog in the matchup.

Cappelozza vs Jones Moneyline Odds

  • Bruno Cappelozza -210
  • Jamelle Jones +165

Cappelozza is a traditional heavyweight with heavy hands and limited grappling ability, which is where he may meet his end in this match. Jones is a talented grappler and wrestler and if he can get the fight to the ground, he should be able to keep Cappelozza down and win the round if not possibly find the finish.

There are simply more paths to a victory for Jones in this bout.

Taylor Guardado vs Mariana Morais Odds

Mariana Morais has fought better athletes throughout her career which includes Roxanne Modafferi, Karol Rosa, Ariane Lipski, and Kayla Harrison, but has lost each of these fights. Taylor Guardado fought Raquel Pennington, Ashlee Evans-Smith, and Ronda Rousey, during her career but did so 10 years ago as an amateur.

Guardado vs Morais Moneyline Odds

  • Taylor Guardado -150
  • Mariana Morais +115

Neither fighter has an impressive record as Morais is 17-11 and Guardado is 2-1 as professionals. In fights like these, MMA betting fans may be more inclined to side with the more active, tested fighter which happens to be the underdog in this matchup.

Denis Goltsov vs Ante Delija Odds

Aside from Harrison, Denis Goltsov is the biggest favorite on the main card. This is likely because both fighters have a similar style, but Goltsov is simply better at what he does than Ante Delija.

Goltsov vs Delija Moneyline Odds

  • Denis Goltsov -325
  • Ante Delija +230

Goltsov is more polished on his feet and effective on the mat while Delija tends to look for the big knockout finish. If Goltsov fights smart, he should be able to avoid the big shot and ease his way into a decision victory.
