PlayStar Casino And Ocean Casino Tie Up Multi-Year Agreement

  • The PlayStar Casino has agreed to partner with the Ocean Casino Resort in order to gain access to the New Jersey gambling market.
  • A regulatory agreement has not been reached between PlayStar and the New Jersey Division of Gaming.

TRENTON, N.J. — The PlayStar and Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City have announced a multi-year partnership that will bring the PlayStar Casino brand to New Jersey. The concrete details of the agreement have yet to be announced but the only thing for certain is that PlayStar is coming to New Jersey.

PlayStar will provide USA online gambling to the Ocean Resort and is set to launch in the back half of 2021, after receiving the necessary licenses from the New Jersey’s Gaming Enforcement.

“We are delighted to have secured access to the thriving New Jersey market through Ocean Casino Resort,” said Adam Noble Co-Founder and VP of PlayStar Casino. “We have shaped our proposition through extensive market research and analysis of customer behaviour to ensure maximum engagement and entertainment. This is the first step towards PlayStar Casino becoming a favourite amongst players across the US.”

This will be the first of many moves for the PlayStar Casino as they look to expand in the US, with desires of becoming one of America’s top casino brands. Entering the New Jersey gambling market, which is one of the biggest gambling markets in the US, is a major first step in accomplishing that goal for PlayStar. Being in Atlantic City will be a breeding ground for PlayStar to build and grow its brand while also showing it can operate in a major market.

“For me, it is great to be back in the game as I founded Boss Media in the mid-nineties and brought many of the earliest online casinos to life. To get back in at this time when the technology and possibilities have advanced so much is genuinely exciting. And we’re looking forward to doing it all over again,” said Joel Wikell, Founder and Chairman of PlayStar.

PlayStar is slated to enter New Jersey sometime before the fall and likely before the NFL and college football seasons begin. For New Jersey gamblers, this means that yet another big name and high-quality brand is coming to make gambling experiences for visitors and residents of the Garden State easier.
