Atlanta FaZe Strong Betting Favorites In Call of Duty League Stage 4 Major

  • The Atlanta FaZe are the betting favorites to win the tournament with odds of +175.
  • The Toronto Ultra are listed as the second option with +433 odds.
  • The Florida Mutineers are given the best shot to come out of the loser’s bracket with odds set at +4100.

ARLINGTON, Texas – The first LAN (local area network) event in over a year will start on Thursday and run through Sunday as the Call of Duty League teams fight to be named the champions of the Stage 4 Major.

Unsurprisingly, the Atlanta FaZe are the odds-on favorites to win the event.

CDL Stage IV Major Betting Odds

  • Atlanta FaZe +175
  • Toronto Ultra +433
  • OpTic Chicago +700
  • New York Subliners +800
  • Dallas Empire +1300
  • Minnesota ROKKR +1900
  • Florida Mutineers +4100
  • Paris Legion +7600
  • Las Angeles Thieves +8100
  • London Royal Ravens +40000
  • Seattle Surge +50000
  • Los Angeles Guerillas +200000

As the season has progressed, the top-tier teams have separated themselves from the rest of the pack. As upsets have become more and more uncommon, we’ll look at the teams with a real chance to win the Stage 4 Major and the $200,000 prize that comes with it.

Bettors should note that this is the first event taking place on LAN in quite some time, which could potentially be the cause for some upsets, but it remains one of the most debated talking points in the Call of Duty scene in terms of just how much of an impact it has.

Atlanta FaZe (+175)

At this point in the season, the argument might not be if FaZe is the best team, but by how wide of a margin are they the best. All four players rank inside the top 10 for kill-to-death ratio (K/D) for the season, the team has won over 71% of overall maps while nobody else is above 60% and they’ve been in the final for each of the previous three Majors.

eSports bettors should be careful betting against FaZe as the team is considered a near-lock to at least make an appearance in the championship.

Toronto Ultra (+433)

The Toronto Ultra are the only team aside from Atlanta to win a Major this year and are likely the biggest threat in this Major as well. The Ultra have their flaws but are arguably the best at playing as a team which is incredibly important.

Insight, Cammy and Bance are solidified stars and play relatively consistent while CleanX has shown that X-factor ability that he will likely need in order to get past FaZe in this event.

This is surely the safest pick to beat the chalk and still, the line carries some generous odds on sports betting sites.

New York Subliners (+800)

The New York Subliners, since adding HyDra, have been right up there with FaZe and Ultra as the top teams in the league. However, things aren’t looking too good in the NYSL camp at the moment. Asim, a starting SMG, likely won’t get his VISA in time to be present at the Major.

This leaves the team looking for a replacement for the event and looking at roster moves in Challengers as well as potential leaks, Decemate seems to be the fill-in. Decemate played with the Seattle Surge for a couple of weeks earlier this season before deciding to return to the amateur scene.

The fit seems a bit off, as Asim is one of the best route men in the league, often playing unselfish and doing the dirty work while Decemate is almost the opposite. He’s earned the nickname “Homelander” because he likes to run around doing whatever he wants on the map.

With that said, if there’s a team that can make it work, it’s New York. Clayster is arguably the greatest CoD player of all time and is one of the premier in-game leaders while Mack and HyDra are two of the best slayers in the game ranking second and ninth in K/D during Stage 4, respectively.

OpTic Chicago (+700)

OpTic Chicago has the biggest fanbase in the league, but those fans shouldn’t be feeling too confident heading into the Major. Online sportsbooks list Chicago with the third-shortest odds, but have simply been too inconsistent to justify the betting line.

OpTic lost to the Surge earlier this stage, giving Seattle their first win in over two months of play. However, OpTic does have one of the most talented rosters in the sport and a ton of experience on LAN events.

This is the type of team that can beat anybody on a given day, but also lose to anyone at the same time. To many, that’s a formula that doesn’t bode well for this tournament.

Any Longshot Possibilities?

There is very little parity in the CDL recently. Quite frankly, any team other than FaZe or Ultra winning the event would be a major shock considering the circumstances around certain teams.

However, the teams not already listed that could make the dark-horse run would be the Minnesota ROKKR or Dallas Empire who both have issues but have the luxury of starting in the winner’s bracket.

The only team with any shot to come out of the loser’s bracket would be the Florida Mutineers. They’ve looked elite at certain points this season and if they put it all together for the entire weekend could compete with the top teams. Unfortunately, there’s no room for error for Florida.
