BetMGM Closing in on $1B in Michigan Online Gaming Revenue

  • The top three online gambling operators in Michigan all set monthly highs in gross gambling revenue.
  • BetMGM has established itself as the top site earning $54 million in GGR, while FanDuel and DraftKings lag behind.
  • If BetMGM has a similar month in December, the online gambling company should be celebrating $1 billion in GGR in the New Year.

LANSING, Mich. - Reports from November for the state-based online gambling sites in Michigan suggest that BetMGM may clear $1 billion in total gross gaming revenue (GGR) since MI launched online casino gambling in January of 2021.

BetMGM would be the first MI-based regulator to clear the billion-dollar threshold.

Betting on BetMGM in December

BetMGM has established itself as the clear market setter in Michigan, with the state's second and third most popular online gambling sites combining for $3 million less GGR in November:

Highest Gross Gaming Revenues in Michigan in November:

  • BetMGM: $54 Million
  • FanDuel: $27 Million
  • DraftKings: $23 Million

All three Michigan online casinos set their records for the highest GGR in their short histories in MI.

Despite that short history, BetMGM is on the precipice of cracking $1 billion at the end of the year based on their $952 million earned in gross gambling revenue.

If December sees a similar report  comes out, BetMGM will be celebrating the New Year as the only gambling site to crack that billion-dollar mark so far in MI.

BetMGM launched in January of 2021, so that would mean clearing the billion-dollar milestone in just two full years.

Having averaged just over $41 million per month up to this point, BetMGM must hope December is closer to November ($54 million) than the average in order to successfully reach that milestone next month.
