TACOMA, Wash. – BetMGM has just curated a partnership with Emerald Queen Casino in Washington to launch its sportsbook at both the Fife and Tacoma locations.
This is BetMGM’s entrance into the new Washington sports betting market. The casino will be building full-service sports gaming lounges powered by BetMGM.
Emerald Queen Casino is run by the Puyallup Tribe. Both the Puyallup and MGM Resorts, the parent company for BetMGM, have expressed their excitement for the deal.
BetMGM Meets Washington
Since regulating sports betting, the Washington gambling market has been active. The Snoqualmie Casino was the first operation in Washington to offer sports betting and now the Emerald Queen Casino has partnered with BetMGM to do the same.
“Today’s announcement marks another key moment in the expansion of BetMGM as we extend our western footprint into Washington,” said Adam Greenblatt , BetMGM CEO. “The Puyallup Tribe and Emerald Queen Casino are ideal partners for us as they represent the same high-level of service, amenities and experiences that is built into our DNA at BetMGM.”
The Tacoma location is going to see a sports lounge built with 30 betting kiosks, six ticket windows, 12 86” HD TVs that display games and odds, and a more than 500-square foot LED TV Wall.

As the deal is still awaiting regulatory approval, there is no launch date as of yet. Local Washington sports betting fans can expect to see the sportsbook soon as the announcements have already been made.
Washington Sports Betting Market
Washington sports betting is expected to be a major market and BetMGM is looking to get in on that action early. The local gambling seen in Washington will likely see more sportsbook deals in the near future.
Not only will this be the first time a BetMGM sportsbook will be in Washington, but this is also MGM Resorts’ first foray into the industry as well.
This is a big shift for the local casino and gaming market of the Evergreen State.
