Matt Olson is +225 to Hit the Most Home Runs in 2023 Season

  • Shohei Ohtani is favored with -150 odds to finish the 2023 MLB season with the most home runs.
  • Matt Olson has valuable +225 odds to hit the most home runs in 2023 despite only having 3 less home runs than Ohtani at the MLB All-Star break.
  • Kyle Schwarber is a longshot to have a hot second half and claim his +3300 odds to hit the most home runs in 2023.

LOS ANGELES – A MLB special at Bovada sportsbook lists odds for which player will finish the 2023 MLB season with the most home runs. Current home runs leader Shohei Ohtani leads the betting board with -150 odds.

Most Home Runs in 2023 Betting Odds

  • Shohei Ohtani -150
  • Matt Olson +225
  • Pete Alonso +650
  • Mookie Betts +1500
  • Luis Robert +2500
  • Adolis Garcia +3300
  • Kyle Schwarber +3300
  • Ronald Acuna Jr. +4500
  • Yordan Alvarez +7500
  • Rafael Devers +7500
  • Aaron Judge +8000
  • Fernando Tatis Jr. +8000

Ohtani is two home runs short of his 2022 total of 34 home runs and it’s only the All-Star break. Shohei Ohtani is currently on pace for 58 home runs by the end of the 2023 season.

That’s a high number to beat, but there are a handful of players whose odds at online sports gambling sites hold more value than the -150 for Ohtani.

Ohtani slugged 15 homers in June, the same number he hit in April and May combined. Despite his ridiculous talent, it’s unlikely that Ohtani keeps this pace and cashes the -150 odds at online sportsbooks with ease.

Matt Olson is only three home runs behind Ohtani but has +225 odds to finish the 2023 season with the most home runs.

Betting Outside of Ohtani

Matt Olson trails Shohei Ohtani with 29 home runs at the MLB All-Star break. Olson’s +225 odds at Bovada Sportsbook are the best bet to surpass Ohtani.

Matt Olson has hit 181 home runs since 2018, only two less than Aaron Judge. Matt Olson is currently on pace to hit 54 home runs by the end of 2023 without a massive home run hitting month that Ohtani had.

Olson’s trending towards a big month, going from a .215 batting average in May to .272 in June. Matt Olson is trending in the right direction toward claiming his +225 odds to hit the most homers in 2023.

Aside from the top two players in odds, Kyle Schwarber is an intriguing longshot with +3300 odds.

Kyle Schwarber has long odds to finish with the most home runs but led the National League in 2022 with 46 home runs. Hesitant bettors might point to his abysmal .184 batting average, but Schwarber managed to do just fine last season with a .218 batting average.
