Land Based Revenue Edges New Jersey Online Casinos In August

TRENTON, N.J. – The money continues to pour in in bunches in New Jersey, with online gambling revenue numbers in the state up 25.2% year-to-date.

For August 2025, the online gambling numbers in New Jersey generated $248.4 million in revenue compared to the $198.4 million in August 2024.

Between August 2024 and 2025, New Jersey online gambling is up 23.5% as a whole, after generating $1.88 billion compared to $1.52 billion.

Surprisingly, the revenue numbers for land based casinos brought in $280.5 million in August 2025. More than online casinos, it pushed the total revenue numbers for the month to $642.2 million.

In total, the land based revenue numbers are up 15.7% in August 2025 year over year and up 9.7% going from $4.16 billion to $4.57 billion overall.

Where Sports Betting Mixes In

Both online and land based sports betting operations were responsible for $81.9 million in revenue in August 2025 - a 30.6% increase compared to the $62.7 million in August 2024.

As for the year-to-date online sports betting numbers from August 2024 to 2025, there was a slight 1% decrease, going from $715.8 million to $708.7 million.
