LAS VEGAS - Soccer star Neymar has been named a cultural ambassador of online poker website PokerStars.
Neymar partnered with PokerStars in November 2020, and this partnership will consist of various cultural projects related to both Neymar and poker.
Neymar is one of the biggest stars in the world, having played for Barcelona alongside Lionel Messi, and now plays for Paris Saint-Germain, the cream of the crop in Ligue 1.
His stardom is global, and this could be a big get for PokerStars, and the online poker community.
Neymar issued a statement along with the announcement of his new role, praising PokerStars and teasing his first project, a series of playlists for various types of poker games.
"Poker is so much more than just the game. It is a community and a culture and that is what I love about it,” said Neymar. “I am excited to start this next chapter with PokerStars.net, and we are already collaborating on a number of key areas. Music is a real passion of mine, so that was first on the list, but there is much more to come. I am excited for you to see what else we have in store."
The future projects that Neymar and PokerStars will collaborate on are unknown at this point, but both sides of this agreement seem very enthusiastic about their upcoming collaborations.

It’s hard to overstate Neymar’s stardom, and this could be an important branding opportunity for PokerStars as well as for the industry of online poker and USA online gambling generally.
