WAYLAND, Mich. – Local Michigan gamers will soon have access to an all-new mobile gaming operation with the impending launch of Parx Casino.
Parx Interactive gained market access from the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) through a partnership with the Gun Lake Band of Potawatomi Indians of Michigan.
Now that Parx Casino is cleared to launch, the options for online gambling in Michigan expand to 12 operators.
Parx Casino In Michigan
The Gun Lake Casino gained the ability to launch USA online gambling in Michigan by the MGCB on Friday and are authorized under the Gun Lake/Parx brand.
The market access also grants Parx Casino mobile sports betting once regulatory approval comes through. The Gun Lake Tribe will focus on launching its online casino first, however.
“We welcome the addition of Gun Lake Casino and partner Parx to Michigan’s growing online gaming market of 13 operators and providers,” said Richard S. Kalm, MGCB executive director. “Their participation will generate revenue to support education, economic development and the Gun Lake Band’s tribal community.”
Michigan is able to offer a total of 13 licenses to operators for online gambling. This is for both online casinos as well as online sportsbooks.
There are already 11 operators available in Michigan, including Barstool BetMGM, BetRivers, DraftKings, FanDuel, Four Winds, Golden Nugget, PokerStars, TwinSpires, William Hill, and WynnBet.
Michigan gambling fans now have even more options going forward, as Parx Casino aims to bring the well renowned Gun Lakes Casino experience to the mobile market, bringing the many gaming options on the go for patrons.
Gun Lakes Casino recently announced a $300 million expansion on its Wayland property, turning it into a full-fledged hotel resort. Between the expansion and the launching of online gambling, Gun Lakes Casino is looking to have a strong impact on the Michigan market.
