Tiger Woods Returns With +1000 PNC Championship Odds

  • Tiger and Charlie Woods have +1000 odds to win the PNC Championship.
  • Justin Thomas and his father are favored to win with +200 odds.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Tiger Woods is making his long-awaited return to the golf course on Saturday for the PNC Championship where he will team up with his son Charlie. This comes 10 months after Woods was involved in a major car wreck in which he suffered major leg injuries.

Looking at the odds board, online gambling sites have Woods opening up with +1000 odds to walk away in first place.

2021 PNC Championship Odds

  • Team Thomas +200
  • Team Cink +550
  • Team Kuchar +550
  • Team Daly +750
  • Team Woods +1000
  • Team Bubba Watson +1100
  • Team Furyk +1200
  • Team Korda +1200

The Return

Woods qualified for the event being that players need either a Players or a Major Championship to their name while their partners must not be in the PGA Tour.

While many are quick to jump on Woods’ odds to win, it should not be forgotten that this is his first appearance after a major injury and the competitiveness of this event is not as high as any others.

He will also more than likely not be at full speed as he continues to rehab his injuries making the +1000 odds valuable based on his name alone.

Team Tomas Going For Second Straight

Sitting with the shortest odds on online sportsbooks are Justin Thomas and his father Mike Thomas. The Thomas duo are the defending PNC Champions from last year which has certainly played a role in their heavily favored odds this season.

In the event as a whole, the team shot 25 under 119 and 15 under 57 in the final round to edge out Team Singh. If they can come out as hot as they did last year, they could be looking at back-to-back PNC titles.

Overall, this should be an enjoyable event with a family atmosphere as well as the return of arguably the greatest golfer of all time.
