Bethesda Woman Wins Third Lottery Jackpot Since 2018

  • A retired housekeeper in Maryland has hit her third $50,000 jackpot in four years.
  • She had previously won lottery jackpots in 2019 and 2018.
  • She claims that the money will go towards home improvements.

BETHESDA, Md. - A woman in Maryland hit her third lottery jackpot of the last four years, having won three times since 2018. The woman, a retired housekeeper who purchased her tickets in Bethesda, MD., has won three jackpots of $50,000 or more at the same store.

The store in question, Talbert's Ice & Beverage Service, sold her two $5 Lucky scratch-offs, one of which rewarded her with a $50,000 jackpot.

In October 2019, she hit a Cash Craze Doubler jackpot, and in August 2018, she hit a $50,000 Bonus Cash jackpot.

Maryland’s lottery does offer online gameplay, but it seems as though the winner likes to keep things simple by using retail lottery locations.

Many people say that winning the lottery is less likely than being struck by lightning. However, Roy Sullivan was famously hit by lightning seven times, so perhaps this isn’t the most unlikely occurrence imaginable.

"People play every day and not win," the winner said. "It's amazing that I won three times."

The woman who won claims that she will use her gambling winnings for home improvements. After her third jackpot as a retired housekeeper, her home may see all the improvement it could ever need.
