Golladay, Shepard, Gibson Lead All Quality DFS Picks For TNF

  • Antonio Gibson has a $9,600 asking price on DraftKings.
  • Kenny Golladay’s DFS price is $8,200.
  • Sterling Shepard’s price on DraftKings is set at $8,000.

WASHINGTONWeek 2 of the NFL season will kick off with a Thursday Night Football matchup in the NFC East between the Washington Football Team and the New York Giants. With this TNF matchup comes plenty of opportunities to get in on any action that the game has to offer.

One of the most popular ways to get in on the game is through Daily Fantasy Football which offers tons of different tournaments. Ahead of this matchup, there are three players to look at when building a DFS lineup. Those players are Antonio Gibson, Kenny Golladay, and Sterling Shepard.

RB Antonio Gibson, $9,600

Antonio Gibson should be at the top of everyone’s radar as he is poised for a big game against the Giants defense, who just allowed 165 rushing yards in Week 1. Gibson is also coming off of a busy Week 1 where he saw 20 carries for 90 yards which were good for 11.8 points.

Something to keep in mind here also is that WFT starting quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick is set to miss an extended number of games due to a hip subluxation. This strengthens Gibson’s role as they will be forced to run the ball more with a less efficient Taylor Heinicke under center.

In addition to his tremendous DFS value, it carries over to online gambling sites as well as his game totals are more than achievable at 65.5 rushing yards and -110 odds to find the endzone. All in all, Gibson is a sure money and fantasy point maker for Week 2.

WR Sterling Shepard, $8,000

Sterling Shepard is on this list for a reason after his incredible Week 1 outing where he put up 7 receptions, 113 receiving yards, and a touchdown for 24.3 fantasy points. It was clear from the start that Shepard had the strongest connection with Daniel Jones as he led the team in targets with nine.

Week 2’s game plan should be in favor of Shepard once again as they will be forced to throw the ball even more than they did in Week 1 being that Washington has one of the toughest run defenses in the league. This defense allowed just 90 rushing yards in Week 1 to four running backs.

With his strong performance in Week 1, it is hard to imagine his usage being decreased in Week 2 against a WFT secondary that allowed 337 receiving yards in the opening week. Shepard’s game totals with online sportsbooks in Week 2 are set at 61.5 receiving yards, 5.5 receptions, and +200 odds to record a touchdown.

WR Kenny Golladay, $8,200

The Giants’ newest receiver did not have the opening game that he was hoping for as he posted just 64 receiving yards on 4 receptions. However, similar to Sterling Shepard, those numbers are sure to jump in Week 2, not only because they will be forced to throw the ball more but also because he is easily the Giants’ most talented receiver.

Although Golladay did not see many big plays, he did get a fair share of targets with six, which was the third-most on the team. Since the Washington secondary allowed for 45+yards to four different receivers, Golladay should be a safe pick in DFS formats as he is sure to get his targets in for Week 2.
