PHILADELPHIA—Pennsylvania poker players were given a step up in the online poker world as BetMGM and Borgata have launched their online poker rooms to Pennsylvania players.
Prior to BetMGM and Borgata launching their platforms, the only USA online poker site that was available in the state was run by PokerStars.
Both BetMGM and Borgata are no strangers to Pennsylvania at all as they both run online gambling sites in the Quaker State already. BetMGM is a partner of the Hollywood Grantville Casino while Borgata is involved with the Rivers Philadelphia Casino.
One thing about these sites is that many might think that these are two separate options for online poker, but they will both offer the same product and will also share the usage between them as well.
Both BetMGM and Borgata had launched their platforms earlier in the week as a part of a two-day trial period that is standard and run by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Both sites are not yet open to the public as they are still in the trial period, however, their applications are available for players to download right now but they are not able to register.
Once they go live, poker players will then be able to play in games not only with other players in Pennsylvania but also in other states that offer those sites as well like New Jersey and Delaware.
